So tell me if this ever happened.
You spent alot of time setting up a new productivity app your colleague recommendes (it’s notion isn’t it?), and then you never use it.
There are some apps that waste more time than they save, but some do what they are supposed to without requiring maintainence, here are those apps.
1. Shift – the workstation for productive people
Shift let’s you have all your accounts in one sidebar. No more multiple accounts and multiple tabs!
You can integrate apps like WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, slack, Trello and Asana aswell as chrome extensions
One of the best features of shift is unified search, which searches for your query in all of you email inboxes, calendars, and cloud storage, that makes looking for that lost email with the project deadline a breeze.
Shift is constantly evolving with 1500+ integrations and blazing fast customer service it’s one of my favorite tools for streamlining work.
Switching accounts is now in the past.
Shift has a free plan and a paid plan at 100$/year aswell as a team plan.
2. Setapp – 220+ Productivity apps for mac
Setapp is a suite of apps aimed for productive Mac users.
The app library has too many apps to cover in this article but you can view them here so I’ll just show you my favorites.
Paste: a clipboard at the tip of your fingers.
Gemini: delete duplicate files and images.
Lacona: spotlight, but better.
Focus: create you ideal work environment by block apps and websites.
SideNotes: all your notes, just one click away.
Setapp costs 7.99$/month/device for the full suite
You can also add an IOS device for 2.50/month/device
2. Todoist – A practical to-do list app
You probably know what todoist is, so I’ll keep this short.
Todoist is a to-do list app with a lot of practical features including
Setting priority for certain tasks and routines.
The inbox which is a place where you can just dump your tasks before organizing them into categories.
You can also create filters for tasks like tasks with no due date and tasks assigned to others.
you can sort tasks that are for specific projects.
And much much more that I might have to cover in a full article.
Todoist has apps for all platforms as well as a chrome extension.
Todoist comes in a free plan or 3$ a month for pro as well as a business plan for 5$ per month per user.
And that concludes our favorite tools.
