The PSVR 2 has been long awaited since it was announced early last year, and we finally got to see it in action during CES 2023, where many got to try the headset and play a demo of the new PSVR 2 exclusive, Horizon: Call of the mountain.
Many people tested and voiced their opinion on the Playstation VR 2, and one of those testers was Palmer Luckey, the founder of Oculus and the originator of the VR craze. in 2014 Facebook (now Meta) acquired Oculus for $3 billion, and it slowly transitioned it to the new Meta brand.
The VR veteran Luckey tweeted about his experience using the PSVR 2 saying, “I was blown away when I used PSVR 2 recently! The first PSVR was arguably the biggest success of the generation, this version will do even better,”
Luckey isn’t the only one with a positive experience, since many other testers also agreed with Luckey’s tweet, citing the OLED display, Haptics, and the revolutionary Eye-tracking features.

However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, since other testers had some issues with the tracking of the new Sense controllers, which sony blamed on the interference from other tradeshow-related equipment.
Testers like Bradley Lynch also disliked the image interpolation, Since the demo did not run at full frame rate, the software “created” artificial frames in between, which was especially noticeable during fast movements.
