There are many project management and productivity tools today. However, a simple email remains the most convenient and user-friendly way to maintain communication with external contacts & team members.
Email surely has downsides – scores of CC’d emails, newsletters, deals, receipts, and spam flood your inbox daily. So filtering important emails from junk can become quite a task.
Let SaneBox handle the heavy lifting for you.

It assists you in prioritizing emails based on their urgency and importance. The software also helps you continuously sort out unwanted and unimportant incoming messages.

Finally, confirm your setup and select Looks Good. You will have to further grant access and turn on settings for folders and reminders.
You’ve finished setting up your SaneBox account with that.
SaneBox Features
After testing out SaneBox for almost 2 weeks, the following are the main SaneBox features that I found are imperative and must be mentioned:
Email Filtering with Trainable Folders
SaneLater
This feature is perhaps the cornerstone of the SaneBox email management tool. It filters your emails and separates unimportant emails into dedicated folders.
SaneNews
It’s a one-stop destination for all your newsletters and mailing lists.
SaneCC
You can find all those emails in which you’ve been CC’d in this folder. You can even move inbox-worthy emails to this folder. All such emails will automatically appear in the SaneCC folder if you make such a move.
SaneBlackHole
This folder is similar to a resting place where emails temporarily stay for 7 days before finally making their way to Trash. You’re free to move emails to this folder at any time.
Note: Remember, this folder is not for Spam emails.
DIY Custom Folders
Believe it or not, you can even create and customize new SaneBox folders. It could be for work, expenses, invitations, or personal emails.
Enter your DIY folder name. Edit folder settings based on your preferences, such as “Setup automatic forwarding” and “Clean up older email” options.
Non-Trainable Power Tools
These are non-trainable folders focused on helping you enhance efficiency, productivity, and time management.
SaneDoNotDisturb
This folder functions similarly to the DND feature on your phones. Your emails get diverted to this dedicated SaneBox folder, preventing you from checking them during a set schedule.
SaneNotSpam
It’s not unusual to receive inbox-worthy emails as spam at times. But it can put you in a pickle if you miss an important email because it got diverted to spam. This folder prevents that from happening. It rescues such messages and keeps them safe for you to review later.
SaneNoReplies
This SaneBox folder houses those emails that are still awaiting a reply.
Reminders
Let SaneBox do all the remembering and thinking for you. You simply need to use the Reminder feature, set the settings, and get back to your work without having to worry about forgetting meetings, events, or deadlines.
Attachment
You can keep attachments in your cloud folders.
Email Deep Clean
SaneBox doesn’t only filter your emails but also carries out a thorough, deep clean. You can edit the settings and set a date for which you want SaneBox to scan and clean.
The tool then flags senders based on email frequency. You can then select all the emails from those senders within a certain period and send them to Trash at once.
This will help maintain a clean and organized email account space and clear up abundant storage.

What Makes SaneBox Different?
SaneBox helped me elevate my focus and manage my time very efficiently. I was able to prioritize important emails without wasting my time shuffling through junk and spam. I rarely missed urgent messages from important clients.
Not only that, but the simplistic design and smooth user interface of this email management tool set it apart from other similar software like Boomerang for Gmail, Superhuman, or Mailbutler.
Yet another reason why I think SaneBox is different and better is the Folder feature. I can sort newsletters and similar emails that are not super urgent but still important into dedicated folders. That way, I can revisit them using these folders easily without having to skim through the entire email list.
Can you imagine training an algorithm for your benefit? That’s what I did using SaneBox. I’d say it’s vital to train the SaneBox algorithm to completely understand its features.
Last but not least, I was caught off guard by SaneBox’s security policies. Your credentials, such as login details and email content, stay on the server. They never leave the server.
SaneBox itself doesn’t access the email content. It only reads headers and metrics, such as the quickness and frequency of your email responses, to fine-tune its algorithm.
Without your OAuth token or email login details, nobody can access your SaneBox account.
Is SaneBox Worth it?
SaneBox is one of those tools that actually helps increase work efficiency and productivity. After testing and using it for about 2 weeks, I experienced higher levels of focused work and saved a ton of time, for sure. So, I’ll say it’s definitely worth it.
My email account window looks much neater and more organized. I rarely missed my work deadlines and meetings. Finding all my important and urgent emails in one dedicated folder and not having to deal with spam and marketing gimmicks is a lifesaver.
However, it’ll take you time to adjust to SaneBox, its features, and, especially, train the algorithm.
I recommend you opt for the 2-week free trial first before reaching a decision, and signing up through this exclusive link which SaneBox kindly provided will get you $25 towards any paid plan. I’d suggest also combining email productivity with other productivity tools for your calendar and tasks like Reclaim.ai and Taskade.
