Once Google Released their Android 12L, which is their Operating System specifically for Tablets and Foldable Phones, it was only a matter of time until they take advantage of it, by producing a new Foldable Phone, rumored to be called the “Pixel Fold” and it might be coming sooner than you think.
Google was in the news recently after a unit of the Pixel Watch was found at a restaurant in the US.
The Foldable project was previously canceled prematurely, which was announced by Ross Young from the DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants) but it seems like the project is now back on track after a new tweet included a mention of the Pixel Foldable comparing it to the Z Fold 4 from Ross Young.
Ross Young also mentions that the Foldable is rumored to be released in Q4 of 2022 and it could potentially launch with or shortly after Android 13 gets released since the new OS could potentially offer better support to Foldable Devices.
The Pixel Fold is also rumored to be cheaper than the competition; it is rumored to be priced at $1400, which is less than the Galaxy Fold 3 which is at $1800, but more than the Galaxy Flip 3 which is at $1000.
The Tweet above also gives us some info about the upcoming Z Fold 4, and he states that both devices will have a similar sized foldable display, but the cover will be quite smaller at 5.8″, but it will have a wider aspect ratio, than the Z Fold 4 at 6.19″
